Military Solutions

The U.S. Department of Defense extensively employs RSSI barriers at military bases throughout the United States and the world. RSSI barriers are currently defending every branch of the U.S. military and are a key component of the perimeter security systems at installations where the threat of vehicle-borne attack is extreme.

The RSS-2015 Cable Trap has been installed at U.S. Air Force bases both at home and abroad to defend runways, taxiways and hardstands from vehicle-borne incursion and attack. RSSI Barriers’ RSS-2015 Cable Trap is the only active cable barrier included in the U.S. Department of Defense’s Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier List.

RSS-2000 Finger Wedge barriers are in use at many bases and installations that experience high traffic flow—where reliability and low maintenance are key to unobstructed routine access of authorized personnel and employees.

Full PLC integration means that RSSI barriers can be monitored and operated remotely, from across the base, or across the world. This provides redundancy, oversight, and flexibility allows personnel positioned beyond the zone of attack to assume command of the barrier should the designated point of control become compromised.
